What can I nibble on?

You know the routine ... open the fridge door and your eyes scan for something to grab and munch. More than likely there isn’t a ready-made sandwich or slice of pizza. Your eyes move over to the bread bin but wait you can’t eat bread as there are bad carbs in bread. Still thinking fast your eyes dart back to the fridge, you grab some sliced chicken, the mayo jar and two slices of sourdough bread and you make a quick rough sandwich, plus a bag of crisps and a chocolate club biscuit to round off the snack attack. Hunger satisfied. Snack time became a meal. Guilt incoming.

What should you have eaten to curb that hunger? Let’s face it when you get the hungers on you need to eat fast. It’s easy said than done to have food at the ready. The above choice would have been fine if you removed the mayo and replaced it with mustard and one slice of bread and completely omitting the crisps and chocolate biscuit but making a cuppa tea instead to fill you up. Hunger satisfied. Guilt-free.
