"Kristen is highly knowledgeable, motivated and supportive. She was able to help me understand how to fuel my body in a way that works for me, and answered all of my questions thoroughly and empathetically. What makes me special?
I am Kristen Davidson, a Qualified VSG Health Coach
After undergoing a vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) in 2017, I believed that I could eat whatever I wanted, just in smaller portions. I thought that having a prawn creamy curry, a couple of chicken nuggets, or even a small bowl of sugared cereal was acceptable. I've been losing weight, but I've noticed that my body lacks the necessary nutrients to function properly as an adult. Sadly, malnutrition is a common issue among VSG patients, so it's crucial to be mindful of what you eat and monitor your nutritional intake.
I have seen cases where clients have gained weight after undergoing VSG (vertical sleeve gastrectomy) surgery. This can be attributed to the fact that they have discovered foods that are easily digestible for them, which are typically foods that are not recommended on a diet and should be removed from a healthy food regimen.
To work with me means you'll have someone who truly understands the challenges of living with a reduced stomach and the thought process behind choosing VSG.
Book a Welcome Call and let me here your story and what issues you are facing.
How does it all work? Here is a simple guide.
Complimentary Welcome Call
Your welcome call is the initial interaction that allows you to establish rapport, discuss your concerns, and explore your feelings post-VSG. It's a chance for both you and I, as your coach, to align on goals and expectations for the upcoming sessions.
A Complete Health Assessment
Following the welcome video call, the health coaching process progresses to a comprehensive health assessment. This step involves a thorough examination of both your working body and the various factors in your lifestyle and environment. I aim to understand the unique dynamics influencing your well-being by taking a holistic view.
Food Diary and Food Photos
The food diary and photos offer a tangible glimpse into your dietary choices, aiding us in tailoring recommendations based on your specific nutrition needs. It also serves as a platform for open communication about your preferences, dislikes, and any foods you may miss after the VSG procedure.
Follow-Up Session
A follow-up session in health coaching is a subsequent meeting together after the initial assessment and coaching session. A follow-up session is crucial for monitoring progress, providing ongoing support, and adjusting goals or strategies.
